Neumarker to Present Innovative Machine Learning Technology at ISCTM 2024 Annual Autumn Meeting

Neumarker will present its latest research at the upcoming International Society for CNS Clinical Trials and Methodology (ISCTM) 2024 Annual Autumn Meeting, on September 12 in San Diego, CA. The poster, titled “EEG-Based, Machine Learning Biomarker to Predict Treatment Response from SSRI Antidepressant Treatment and TMS Treatment of MDD and TRD Patients,” provides a detailed exploration of Neumarker’s advanced EEG-based machine learning technology. This research focuses on the identification of treatment responders, treatment non-responders and super placebo responders from a prior clinical trial.  This work supports the use of this technology for improving precision treatment strategies for patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) and treatment-resistant depression (TRD).

This technology, which leverages baseline EEG measurements and proprietary machine learning algorithms, presents a significant advancement in the field of clinical trial methodology. By enabling precise patient stratification, this biomarker technology has the potential to improve the accuracy of treatment outcome predictions, thereby enhancing the efficacy of clinical trials. Furthermore, the integration of this tool into clinical practice may contribute to the personalization of treatment strategies, optimizing patient outcomes for those suffering from Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric and neurologic diseases.
